Rotary Club of Ibadan, Jericho-Metro was designed by its founding fathers (PDG Obafunso Ogunkeye & PDG Dolapo Lufadeju) to be firstly a MODEL club and also a MEGA club.

Activities:

Rotary Club of Ibadan, Jericho-Metro received an award at the Abuja DISCON for producing a well bound brochure during District Governor Omotosho's visit

The Rotary Club of Ibadan, Jericho-Metro - Club History

Rotary Club of Ibadan,Jericho Metro came into existence through the passionate efforts of PDG Obafunso Ogunkeye and PDG Oludolapo Lufadeju in September 2011 as a Provisional Club.

The Club started with eight committed professional men and women and  was Chartered as a Club on April 10, 2012 under the leadership of Rotn Gbenga Oluniyi.

As a young club, with so much vigor,  RC Jericho Metro received the award of second most outstanding Club in District 9125 in that same Rotary year.

Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro has produced three Past Presidents and is currently waxing stronger under the leadership of Rotn. Gbenga Oduwole ,a seasoned Accountant and Farmer. It has a membership strength of 34 distinguished men and women, among whom are eight Paul Harris Fellows.

RC Jericho Metro meets on Thursdays at Kakanfo Inn and Conference Suites,  Ring Road Ibadan at 6.00 p.m.

Object of Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy
enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

First:The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

Second: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

Third:The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his personal, business, and
community life;

Fourth: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
